Oncera Terms of Service

Last updated: August 31, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Oncera Health LLC. They cover the Oncera app at app.oncerahealth.com, the website at oncerahealth.com, and the messages we send you. We have written them in plain language because we want you to read them. Please do, and if anything is unclear, email us at hello@oncerahealth.com.

When you tick the box that says you agree to these terms, you are agreeing to everything below. If you do not agree, please do not use Oncera.

1. Who we are

Oncera Health LLC is a company based in Austin, Texas. Our postal address is 13492 N Hwy 183 #120-191, Austin, TX 78750, and our email address is hello@oncerahealth.com. In these terms, "Oncera", "we", "us" and "our" mean Oncera Health LLC, and "Oncera" also means the app and website we operate.

2. Oncera is not medical care

Oncera is a survivorship support platform. It is a non clinical product for adults who have completed active treatment for breast cancer. It helps you keep a record of how you are doing, offers you supportive, lifestyle based actions, and helps you prepare for appointments with your care team.

Oncera does not provide medical advice and does not replace medical care. It does not diagnose anything, does not decide what care you need or how urgently you need it, and does not recommend, change, or time any treatment or medicine. Nothing in Oncera is a clinical assessment, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan, and nothing you see has been reviewed by a clinician who knows you.

Always talk to a doctor or your care team before making changes to your health routine. This includes starting or changing exercise, changing what you eat or drink, and anything to do with your medicines. Your care team knows your history. Oncera does not.

If you got access to Oncera through a hospital, a clinic, an employer, or another organization, that does not change any of this. Oncera is still not medical care, and it is not a way of reaching your care team.

3. Emergencies

Oncera is not an emergency service. If you think you are having an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States) or go to an emergency room. For anything urgent about your cancer care, call a doctor or your care team. Do not wait for Oncera to show you anything.

Emergency and crisis resources are always available inside Oncera, on the Emergency page in the avatar menu. They are there all the time. They are not a response to anything you log.

4. Who can use Oncera

To use Oncera you must be 18 or older, have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and have completed active treatment. Ongoing hormone therapy counts as having completed active treatment: if you have finished chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery and are now taking hormone therapy such as tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor, you are within scope.

Oncera is for breast cancer survivors because most of its actions and information were written and reviewed for them. If you had a different cancer, Oncera is not the right fit yet.

When you sign up, we ask you to confirm that this describes you, and that you understand Oncera is not medical care. If it does not describe you, Oncera may not be the right fit right now, and you will not be able to continue. If anything changes, you are welcome back any time.

If you enter a year of birth that shows you are under 18, we do not create an account and we save nothing about you.

You must give us accurate information when you sign up and when you answer questions in Oncera. Oncera chooses what to show you from what you tell it, so what you enter matters. You can correct your answers at any time from the Profile tab in Account Settings, using Update my answers.

5. Your account

Your account is yours alone. You are the only person who may use it. Oncera does not offer access for family members, caregivers, or anyone else, and you agree not to share your sign in details with anyone. If someone else needs to see something from Oncera, you can show them, or give them a Doctor Prep page. That is your choice, not the platform's.

You may have one account. Keep your password private and choose one you do not use anywhere else. Tell us at hello@oncerahealth.com straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

6. What Oncera does

Here is what Oncera does, in plain terms.

It asks you how you are doing, in structured questions, and records your answers. It shows you your own answers over time, including patterns in what you have logged. It chooses supportive, lifestyle based actions for you from a fixed library that people wrote in advance, based on what you have told it, and leaves out actions that are not suitable for what you have reported. It lets you keep a list of your medicines and mark doses as taken, and it can remind you if you ask it to. It helps you turn what you have logged into questions, in your own words, for your care team, and puts those into a Doctor Prep page. It shows you information written for survivors in general.

When you log certain symptoms, or log something several times, Oncera shows you a safety message suggesting you raise it with a doctor or your care team. These messages come from fixed rules that were written and reviewed in advance and are applied the same way to everyone who logs the same thing. A stronger message is not a judgment about you. It is a property of the rule. Oncera never says what a symptom means, and it never tells you what care to get. That decision stays with you and your care team.

Oncera shows you a score, the Oncera Health Index, and a value for each area of daily living. Your score reflects what you have shared about your habits, routines, and health. It is not a medical assessment, and it does not measure your risk or your recovery. Your score is only ever shown to you. It is never on a Doctor Prep page, and it is never sent to anyone.

Oncera's actions and information are written by people and drawn from published research and guidance. Most actions show where their information comes from, through the Source link under Understand why. That information is general. It was not written with your particular situation in mind.

Oncera uses automated systems to choose which actions and information to show you, based on the answers you give. A person does not review your answers before your plan is created. Oncera does not diagnose, does not decide what care you receive, and does not replace a doctor.

7. No one is watching

This matters, so we say it plainly. No one at Oncera reads what you record as part of your care. No clinician is notified when you log something. Your care team does not see your check ins, your symptoms, or your safety messages unless you show them yourself. Nothing you enter into Oncera causes anyone to contact you, and nothing you enter causes anyone to check on you.

If something is worrying you, please contact a doctor or your care team directly. Logging it in Oncera does not tell them.

8. Your information

Our Privacy Policy explains what information Oncera holds, what we do with it, and your rights. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains the same for the health information you give us, in the form some states require. Both are part of these terms, and both are always available in Settings under Data & Privacy and in the footer of every page. Oncera Health LLC is HIPAA compliant.

When you sign up, you agree separately that Oncera can collect and use information about your health to give you your plan and track how you are doing. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by deleting your account from the Data & Privacy page. We cannot give you a plan without it, so withdrawing it means closing your account.

9. Messages, texts, and notifications

Oncera can reach you by email, by text message, and by notifications on your phone. Whether it does is up to you. At sign up there is one box, unticked, that lets us send you notifications, and it never affects your ability to use Oncera. In Settings you can turn email, text messages, and phone notifications on or off separately, at any time.

Our notifications, emails, and texts never contain anything about your health. A notification only ever says that you have a new message in Oncera. Everything else waits inside the app until you open it.

If you turn on text messages, these terms apply to them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from Oncera, including medicine reminders. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to turn texts back on. Text messages are sent through mobile carriers, and carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. If you do not want texts, leave the text messages switch off.

Medicine reminders are separate. You turn them on inside the medicine tracker or in Settings, and you choose whether they arrive by text, by email, or both. A medicine reminder only ever says that it is time to take your medicine. It never names the medicine, the dose, or anything about how you are doing.

A few account messages always send, whatever your settings: password resets, confirmation when you change your email address, and confirmation when you ask to delete your account. Every other email and text is a reminder, and you control whether you get it.

10. Doctor Prep and sharing

Doctor Prep is a page you create to bring to an appointment. It contains what you logged, in your own words, with dates, your notes, your questions, and the medicines you track. It contains no score, no summary, and no conclusion of Oncera's own, because it is your document and not ours.

You decide what goes on it and who sees it. You can print it, download it, or create a share link and give that link to someone. Anyone who has a share link can open the page until you cancel the link or delete your account. A share link does not expire on its own. You are responsible for who you give a link to. Oncera never sends a Doctor Prep page to anyone, never addresses one to a clinician, and never keeps a record of who you sent it to.

Sharing a Doctor Prep page does not mean your care team reviews what you record in Oncera. No one is notified when you log something.

11. What you enter belongs to you

Everything you enter into Oncera, your answers, your check ins, your notes, your questions, your medicines, is yours. You give us permission to store it and use it only to run Oncera for you, to keep Oncera working and secure, and to keep the records described in our Privacy Policy. We will not use it for anything else without asking you first. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can download a copy of everything Oncera holds about you from the Data & Privacy page, and you can delete it by deleting your account.

12. What belongs to Oncera

Oncera itself, including the app, the website, the action library, the questions, the messages, the design, and the name Oncera, belongs to Oncera Health LLC or to the people who license it to us. We give you a personal, non commercial right to use Oncera under these terms. You may not copy, sell, rent, or redistribute any part of Oncera, or use automated tools to collect its content. Your own Doctor Prep pages and your own downloaded data are yours to keep, print, and share as you wish.

13. Using Oncera responsibly

You agree not to:

  • use someone else's account, or let anyone use yours;
  • enter information you know to be false, or sign up more than once;
  • try to get into parts of Oncera you are not meant to reach, or interfere with how it works;
  • copy, reverse engineer, or scrape Oncera or its content;
  • use Oncera to harm, harass, or deceive anyone;
  • use Oncera for any commercial purpose, or to build a competing product;
  • break any law while using Oncera.

If you do any of these, we may suspend or close your account. If we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

14. What Oncera costs

Oncera is free for you. We do not charge you, and we do not show you advertising. If that ever changes for the features you use, we will tell you clearly and in advance, and nothing will be charged unless you agree to it.

15. Research studies

Some people use Oncera as part of a research study. If you are one of them, you signed a separate consent form with the study team, outside the app. That form governs the study. It does not change these terms, and these terms do not change it.

Joining a study is never a condition of using Oncera. If you leave a study, you keep your Oncera account. If you delete your Oncera account, the study consent form tells you what happens to the study's information.

16. Partner programs

You may have received access to Oncera through an employer, a hospital or clinic, a nonprofit, or another organization, using a code they gave you. The code tells us which program offered you access. It does not give that organization any access to your account. We do not tell them whether you personally signed up, and we never give them anything you record. We may tell them how many people used their code. Whatever that organization agrees with us, Oncera's relationship with you is governed by these terms and our Privacy Policy, and by nothing else.

17. Changes

We will keep improving Oncera, and some things will change, move, or be removed over time. We will not make a change that means Oncera reviews what you record, sends anything to anyone without your action, or makes decisions about your care. Those are conditions of how Oncera is designed, not settings.

If we make a change to these terms that matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page tells you when these terms last changed. If you keep using Oncera after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account.

18. Ending your use of Oncera

You can stop using Oncera at any time. To delete your account, go to the Data & Privacy page in Settings, choose Delete my account, and enter your password. Your account then goes into a seven day waiting period. During that time no reminders are sent, your Doctor Prep share links stop working, and you can cancel the deletion by signing in. After seven days, your account and everything in it is permanently deleted. Our Privacy Policy explains the small set of records we keep after that, with your name, email, and phone number removed from them.

If you want a copy of your information, download it before you delete your account. Once deletion is complete, we cannot get it back.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Oncera. If we stop offering Oncera, we will give you as much notice as we can and time to download your information.

19. What we can and cannot promise

We work hard to keep Oncera accurate, useful, and available, but Oncera is provided as it is, and we cannot promise that it will always be correct, complete, or working. Information in Oncera is general, drawn from published sources, and may become out of date. It is not advice about your particular situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties about Oncera beyond those written in these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits any right that the law gives you and does not allow us to limit.

20. Our responsibility to you

To the fullest extent the law allows, Oncera Health LLC is not responsible for any loss that does not come directly from our breaking these terms, for any loss we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for any loss that comes from a decision you make about your health or your care. Our total responsibility to you for anything connected with Oncera is limited to 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law does not allow us to limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

21. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using Oncera, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

22. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas. Before starting any legal action, please email us at hello@oncerahealth.com. Most problems can be sorted out quickly by talking.

If you live in the European Economic Area, India, or another country whose consumer laws give you rights that cannot be taken away by these terms, you keep those rights, and you may bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

23. A few other things

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Oncera. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not act on a breach of these terms straight away, we can still act on it later. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. If Oncera Health LLC is ever sold or merged with another company, these terms and our Privacy Policy will continue to apply, and we will tell you before anything changes. These terms are written in English, and if they are translated, the English version is the one that applies.
